Our Advisors are contracted to deliver financial capability advice to new tenants who are referred through the New Tenant Financial Capability Service from GHA, Cube and Loretto. We will contact referred tenants and arrange an appointment at a suitable location.

We have a surgery at Leverndale Hospital on a Thursday. Our Advisor is in attendance from 9am - 5pm for in-patients only. The Patient Affairs coordinator will speak to all inpatients regarding their situation and refer onto our advisor if required.

Children's Hospital:

Is your child an in-patient or out-patient at the Royal Hospital for Children?  Our Team are dedicated to supporting sick children & their families. Speak to your Health Professionals who can make a referral to our team. Alternatively, you can contact Family Support Services located within the RHC who will assist you and make a referral to our service.  Our Support Officer will contact you to discuss a suitable appointment.  We conduct telephone appointments and have face to face appointments on a Thursday within Family Services.  If this arrangement is unsuitable, please discuss with Hazel, our Support Officer when she calls to arrange your appointment.

Energy Crisis Project within Hospital Settings

This is a new energy service for patients, outpatients, visitors etc.  We have advisers in the following hospitals who can assist you.

Energy Surgeries

Our Energy team can help you to access grants from the British Gas Energy Trust. These grants can be awarded to clear debts owed to any gas or electricity supplier and, in exceptional cases, the purchase of energy efficient household white goods, new boilers and boiler repairs, and for bankruptcy fees and funeral arrears.

They can also give you advice on switching your energy supplier to reduce bills, energy efficiency advice, and help to apply for the Warm Home Discount.

Advocacy Service

Do you, or know someone who does, find it difficult to deal with daily decisions, someone who is vulnerable and lacks the confidence to deal with day to day challenges? We can provide an Advocacy Service where our Advocacy workers can enable clients to represent their own interests and to better participate in decision making processes with regards their benefits and financial capability.

Women attending the Special Needs in Pregnancy clinic at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow and the Princess Royal Hospital also in Glasgow can speak to our Advocacy worker in the hospital during the times stated below. Appointments can also be made for a time suitable to you.

In addition to this service we provide advocacy to clients who have a child who are an in-patient or out-patient at the Royal Hospital for Children. 

Jobs & Business Glasgow

While working in partnership with Jobs & Business Glasgow’s and our Financial Inclusion Adviser supports participants to address debt issues, assists them to develop better budgeting skills and provides better off in work calculations, overall you will receive a financial health check which involves maximising your income where possible. We will also look at what your income could be if you move into training or employment
